0. Do you have a room, which meets requirements of ADA accessible room for guests with disabilities? Do you have a handicap parking?
We are currently in the process of remodeling one of our rooms to meet ADA standards, so our valuable guests with disabilities can enjoy their stay with us in comfort. Yes, we do have a handicap parking available. There is a ramp leading to the front desk office. Also our pool is equipped with handicap pool lift.
1. How far are you from John Pennekamp Coral Reef State park?
We are 4 ½ miles south from the entrance of the park on the opposite side of the US-1.
Due to limited dockage slips we require an advance reservation for your room and dockage space. Reserve by calling 305 852-2401. Boat slips and use of ramp are available only to registered guests with the room reservation for boats up to 21' on a trailer. There is a daily charge for dock rental and trailer parking of $25 +7.5% tax. We are not a marina; therefore we do not provide electricity nor a hose with fresh water to rinse the boat or trailer.
3. Do you have any kayaks?
We have four single kayaks & one double kayak for the guests 18yrs and older to use. We have also one four seat paddle boat. At least one adult must be constantly present, when children under 18 years are on board; max occupancy 4 people. Inquire about kayaks and paddle boat at the front desk during your stay with us. (Water crafts are available upon signing Limited liability waivers, rules of conduct and accepting life jackets for use.) Use of water crafts are on a first come, first serve basis with one hour of use limit.
4. Can we snorkel from your beach?
Yes, you can. You will see schools of fish, some crabs and maybe a barracuda. Please, keep in mind in order to see Coral reef, it’s wildlife you need to book one of the trips with a commercial boat, which will take you 5 miles off shore to the coral reef on Ocean side (Our hotel is located on Bay side). At present, we do not provide snorkeling equipment to our guests.
5. How we can get Ice?
We sell 10 lb. bags of ice for a small fee or you can fill ice trays provided in the room to make fresh ice inside of your room (Fla Dept. of Health require providing of empty ice trays only).
6. Do you provide an iron, hairdryer in your rooms?
Yes, each of our rooms has iron and ironing board. There is a hairdryer stored in the bathroom vanity.
7. Is there enough parking spaces and is there any parking fee?
We have enough parking spaces for one car per each unit and two cars for bigger units. Parking is free to our registered guests. Upon your arrival at the Check In we will ask you for license tag number on your vehicle and you will receive a Parking pass for the length of your stay.
8. Is there a laundry facility available to the guests?
Guests can use our laundry facility in the late afternoon for a small fee. Commercial laundry is available within a short drive.
9. Where can I get a beach towel for the pool and beach?
You can pick up, exchange, and return beach towels at the front desk.
10. Do you allow small pets?
Unless it is a service animal trained to provide specific tasks for a person with disabilities with compliance under ADA, we do not accept pets.
11. Is there a shower at the pool to use?
Yes, there is a shower to use on the pool’s deck to use before entering pool or just to refresh yourself and a second one is located on our pier.
12. Are there any hidden fees associated with renting an accommodation?
Our guests will be charged only quoted rate and appropriate taxes (7.5% sales tax & 5.0% bed tax). We would like you to know, we do not charge a resort fee.
13. Are there any adjoining rooms?
Yes, there is several adjoining rooms: #11(DX2D) & #12 (EFFK) ; #14(DX2D) & #15 (EFQD);
#7 (WS4D) & #8 (WS2D).
